MAGS

A generative art practice based on the rules of modular arithmetic, transforming data from measured invisible and perceptual phenomena into traceable visual compositions. Developed by artist Shareefa Al-Maqtari as a methodology for artistic practice at the intersection of art, data and modular arithmetic.

Rather than merely visualising data or treating it as raw material, MAGS extracts the modular relationships embedded in its numerical structure and transforms them into compositional rules.
